Accreditation & Certification
All Chaplains who have worked in General Practice for at least a year are strongly encouraged to demonstrate the professional nature of their work either through ACGP initial Accreditation and annual Re-Accreditation, or through ACGP initial Certification and annual Re-Certification.
Accreditation / Re-Accreditation
Accreditation is available to Chaplains who have already worked in Primary Healthcare Chaplaincy for more than 6 hours a week for at least a year. Successful applicants will become Accredited Practitioners.
The application forms below will guide you through the process of either initial Accreditation or subsequent annual Re-Accreditation.
We are currently in the process of updating our Accreditation application form to an online process, which we hope to be available for submissions in subsequent years. This year, however, we will continue to use the Word Document version of the Accreditation application form below:
We hope to update all of our application forms to an online process soon, but for the moment this is just occurring for our Accreditation form. For Re-accreditation, please fill out the Word Document in the link below:
Certification / Re-Certification
Certification is available to Chaplains who have already worked in Primary Healthcare Chaplaincy for less than 6 hours a week for at least a year. Certification is also available for those working more than 6 hours a week and choose not to apply for Accreditation. Successful applicants will become Certified Practitioners.
We hope to update all of our application forms to an online process soon, but for the moment this is just occurring for our Accreditation form. For Certification or Re-certification, please fill out the Word Document in the link below:
